- 調査研究として平成19～21年度の3年計画で推進された「都市の教育政策と教育行政の在り方に関する調査研究」（以下、「調査研究」）の一環として作成されたものである。本報告書に掲載する資料『歴代教育委員＜政令指定都市・中核市版＞?昭和45（1970）年～平成20（2008）年?』（以下、「資料」)は、「地方教育行政の組織及び運営に関する法律」(昭和31（1956）年6 月30 日制定、法律第162 号)の制定以降、とりわけ昭和45（1970）年から平成20（2008）年までの全政令指定都市・中核市における教育委員会の委員を一覧にしたものである（全市において各年の5 月1 日時点でのデータ）。
