今後のボランティア活動推進施策に資するため、地域のボランティア活動の指導者等として活躍が期待されている団塊の世代を対象に、ボランティア活動に対する意識調査を行った。また、学校と地域や関係機関等が連携した先進的な取組を実践している杉並区立和田中学校について現地調査し、「地域の教育力」を活用した学校運営の在り方や学校と地域の連携システムについて検証した。
