- "学級規模が30人と40人の場合を取り上げ、児童が教室にいない状態で教師が絵本を読み上げた場合と、児童が教室に30人あるいは40人いる状態で読み上げた場合の、教室内の異なる９地点におけるSN比（注）を算出し、位置間のSN比の変化を比較した。その結果， 教師からの距離が遠い児童ほどSN比が小さくなり，かつ教室内の児童数が多いほど教師からの距離の遠さに伴うSN比の減少の程度が大きいことから，学級規模が大きいほど教師の声が聞き取りにくい児童の割合が高くなることが示唆された。"
