Note (General): 庄川と地久子川に挟まれた沖積平野に位置し，古代には遺跡周辺一帯が東大寺領鳴戸荘の比定地の一つとなっている。平成20年度に延べ15,875㎡の調査を実施した。縄文時代晩期中葉の自然流路からは，現地性の高い精製土器を含む土器群が確認され，漆塗結歯式竪櫛の一部も出土した。弥生時代後期前半では弧状に巡る溝を検出し，溝の中から多量の土器が出土した。また，玉作関連遺物の出土も確認された。古代では掘立柱建物や井戸などを検出された。緑釉陶器，灰釉陶器，円面硯などが出土し，「秋万呂」と墨書された須恵器も確認された。中近世では掘立柱建物や井戸，区画溝を検出し，井戸からは烏帽子が出土した。
