Note (General): 当該遺跡は、豊川支流の大宮川が雁峰山地から流出する谷地形の入口に立地している。発掘調査では、竪穴建物5棟、掘立柱建物4棟が検出された。竪穴建物跡からは弥生土器・土師器が出土した他、弥生時代後期の竪穴建物跡からは石製紡錘車と鉄鏃が出土した。集落の一部は後世の洪水によって滅失しており、その旧河道下層からは同時代と推測される袋状鉄斧が出土している。　集落規模は丘陵・台地の端部を占める約800?に収まる小さなもので、かつ、その存続時期は弥生時代末期～古墳時代初頭の空白期を挟む、断続的なものである。
