Note (General): 壇山古窯跡群第９地点の調査で発見された遺構は、400 ㎡の調査区で須恵器窯４基、竪穴建物１棟、土坑２基で、すべて奈良・平安時代のものである。検出した須恵器窯のうち、１基は排煙部のみの検出だが、残り３基は窯体すべてを検出している。３基は半地下式のものであり、１基は地下式のものである。半地下式窯のひとつからは、窯体床下に甕片暗渠を検出し、窯背部の排水溝からは土師器甕が合わせ口で出土している。県内に地下式窯の調査例は少なく、８世紀前半のものまで確認されていたが、今回の調査によって、８世紀の後半まで地下式窯が存続することが明らかになった。遺物は、金属器模倣の稜埦が大量に出土し、８世紀後半から９世紀前半のものである。
