Note (General): 黒瀬大屋遺跡は、常願寺川から神通川に向かって西流する土川の西岸、東に熊野川に挟まれた扇状地に立地する奈良～平安時代の集落遺跡である。本調査区（A区・B区）では、一面廂（片廂）掘立柱建物1棟、竪穴建物3棟、溝31条、土坑46基、ピット251基、不明遺構20基を確認した。遺物は、土師器の坏・椀・甕・小型甕・鍋等、須恵器の杯・椀・蓋・甕・壺等が出土した。遺構外から、施釉陶器（緑釉陶器・灰釉陶器）も僅かであるが出土している。また、土錘が44点出土した。土師器や須恵器の杯・椀を中心に、墨書土器・刻書土器が22点あり、特に「中田」と墨書されたものが推定を含めて4点あった。限定された調査区のため集落としての全体像は不明であるが、出土遺物から遺構の年代は、概ね8世紀後半～9世紀前半、9世紀中頃～後半、9世紀後半～10世紀初めの3時期の変遷がある。また、包含層からではあるが、7世紀中頃の須恵器蓋が出土しており、7世紀代には集落の造営が開始されていたと考えられる。
