Note (General): 平成27年３月31日に返還された、在沖米軍基地であるキャンプ瑞慶覧西普天間住宅地区に所在する埋蔵文化財の試掘・確認調査を実施した。調査は、まず遺跡の有無を確認するために計134箇所で試掘調査を行った。その後、範囲内容を確認するために、合計８本のトレンチを設定し、遺構の掘削は最低限に留めた。　調査の成果としては、普天間石川原第二遺跡、普天間旧道跡、安仁屋東原古墓群を新規発見し、喜友名下原第一・二遺跡、喜友名山川原第七遺跡の遺跡範囲が拡大された。　遺跡分布及び土層堆積の特徴として、先史時代の遺構や包含層は台地上に位置する普天間石川原第二遺跡や新城大道原第三遺跡の範囲内において検出された。グスク時代になると建物跡と迫地の耕作地からなる集落跡が確認された。特に、喜友名下原第二遺跡で、確認調査によりグスク時代の掘立柱建物跡をはじめ遺構が多く検出された。近世～近代では、ティラヌメーと呼ばれる普天間古集落から続く道跡や生産関連遺構、古墓など近代集落に伴う遺構が確認された。調査面積平成27年度： 2375㎡平成28年度： 864㎡
