Note (General): 中城御殿は国王の世子が暮らした邸宅跡で、1870年から1945年まで存在していた。戦後は県立博物館などが建てられるが、老朽化により撤去される。調査は遺構の遺存状況を確認する目的で行われ、中城御殿の倉庫跡周辺にあたり、石畳や側溝、暗渠などの遺構が良好な状態で検出されている。出土遺物としては、肥前産を中心とする陶磁器や、儀式・祭祀に用いる御玉貫を覆っていたと考えられるガラス玉など、中城御殿の生活を偲ばせるものが多数出土している。
