堂園遺跡Ａ地点では，北東から南西に遺跡を縦断する古代の道跡が発見された。また，弥生時代中期から古墳時代初頭にかけての土坑墓が６４基発見され，県内では類例の少ない時期の墓域として注目される。 　古殿諏訪陣跡は，応永２４年９月１１日の島津豊久と伊集院頼久の合戦の際，伊集院氏が敗走する島津氏を追撃するため...
