延暦22年（803），征夷大将軍であった坂上田村麻呂の下に造営された陸奥国最北端・最大級の古代城柵「志波城跡」。昭和59年に国指定史跡となり，平成5年度から12年度まで外郭南辺・南大路の復元整備を第I期整備として実施。第II期整備として政庁・官衙域の復元整備，第III期整備としてガイダンス施設の整備...
