Note (General): 中津川東岸の自然堤防(中州)に立地する縄文時代散布地、平安時代集落跡、近世城郭l跡。遠曲輪の土塁と下層から戦国時代末から近世初頭の陶磁器が出土しており、土塁と堀構築の上限は16世紀終末ごろ。西側郭内は低い土地で、土塁下に暗渠の木樋を通し、低地の水を外の堀へ排水している。城郭期，城郭期以後の遺構と遺物包含層からは，中国染付，国産瀬戸・美濃，相馬，益子，京焼の陶器類，肥前の染付磁器類、木製品、石製品、金属製品、銭貨が出土している。
