Note (General): 赤穂市北部の有年地区に位置する放亀山古墳群の分布調査及び範囲確認調査報告書。　分布調査の結果、放亀山古墳群は古墳時代前期から終末期まで、14基の古墳からなる古墳群であることが明らかになった。　また範囲確認調査の結果、１号墳は全長38ｍの前方後円墳であることが明らかになった。墳丘の残存状況は非常に良好で、前方部・後円部ともに二段築成となること、明確な隆起斜道を持つこと、特殊なくびれ部構造を持つことなどが明らかになった。また、後円部墳頂では墓壙及び埋葬施設への供献土器群が検出され、前期前半の前方後円墳であることが明らかになった。
