Note (General): [浅谷山西古墳要約] 浅谷山丘陵の南西斜面に位置する横穴式石室を埋蔵施設に持つ古墳である。南に向かって開口するが，石室の石材はほとんどが抜き取られており，側石の一部がわずかに残っていた。直径は10ｍ，高さ1.6ｍ，周溝の幅２ｍの円墳で，石室は推定で長さ５ｍ，幅1.5ｍ，高さ1.2ｍほどと思われる。出土遺物から築造時期は６世紀の後半から７世紀の初頭頃と思われる。　 [浅谷山１号遺跡要約] 浅谷山丘陵の南西斜面に位置する弥生時代後期と古墳時代後期の集落跡である。竪穴住居跡６，掘立柱建物跡３，土坑５，性格不明遺構６を検出した。弥生時代の住居跡は径８ｍの大きな住居跡である。古墳時代の住居跡は方形で四本柱である。この他に縄文時代と思われる落とし穴，古墳時代後期の小型竪穴式石室などを検出した。　 [小深遺跡要約] 庄原市街地から南西に約２km，標高317ｍの山から南東方向に延びる尾根の斜面に位置する。弥生時代後期から古墳時代前期頃の竪穴住居跡６，性格不明遺構３，土坑２基，その他小ピット数基を検出した。
