Note (General): 平安時代～近世にかけての平安京に関する３面の調査を行った。平安時代後期に属する姉小路南築地の内溝と考えられる遺構を確認したほか、鎌倉時代から室町時代前期に属する廃棄土坑から、三条西殿に使用されていたと思われる瓦が多く出土していることは、三条西殿の存在を裏付ける間接的資料となる。また、鎌倉時代以降の調査面においても、条坊制の影響を残していると思われる柱穴列や区画溝なども確認しており、本調査地における土地利用の変遷を垣間見ることが出来る。
