Note (General): [キウス５遺跡要約] 　キウス５遺跡は、石狩低地帯東辺の馬追（まおい）丘陵から西流するキウス川右岸の丘陵下端部とキウス川旧河道の谷底平野に立地する。当報告はこのうち台地部分の３層出土と、一部５層出土の縄文時代晩期の遺構・遺物を対象とするものである。なお、旧河道を含む低位部については平成19（2007）年度に刊行した『キウス５遺跡（８）』で報告を行っている。　台地部３層では、主に擦文文化期の竪穴住居跡・土坑・焼土などからなる遺構の調査を行った。竪穴住居跡などの遺構は近接して検出される例が多く、当該期の集落跡と考えられる。遺構に伴って擦文土器等の遺物が出土した。　他の時期では続縄文土器1個体と、縄文時代晩期の遺物も多数出土している。遺物は土器が多く石器は少量である。。
