Note (General): [当別川左岸遺跡要約] 当別川左岸遺跡の平成23・24年度調査の報告である。遺跡は、ＪＲ渡島当別駅から北東へ約2.5kmのところに位置する。茂辺地川と当別川に挟まれた海岸段丘上に立地している。調査区は北から南に緩やかに傾斜している。　遺跡からは、縄文時代中期前半から後期前葉の遺構・遺物が検出されている。遺構は、竪穴住居跡４軒、土坑19基、Ｔピット２基、焼土６ヵ所、剥片集中６ヵ所が確認された。遺物は、円筒土器上層a・b式、サイベ沢7式、見晴町式、大安在Ｂ式、涌元式、トリサキ式、ウサクマイＣ式などの土器23,625点、石鏃、石槍・ナイフ、スクレイパー、たたき石、すり石などの5,625点の石器等が出土している。
