Note (General): [オコッコ１遺跡要約] 遺跡は、厚真町市街から北東へ約７km、厚真川の沖積平野の奥部にある厚真川とオコッコ沢川の合流点に位置し、標高55から60mの河岸段丘上と斜面に立地する。オコッコ1遺跡は、平成27年度に勇払東部（二期）地区厚幌導水路工事に伴い、（公財）北海道埋蔵文化財センターによって2,912平方メートルの発掘調査が行われ、現在継続して整理中である。平成27年度調査では、遺跡の主体は縄文時代前期前半で、遺構は、盛土遺構2か所、竪穴住居跡６軒、土壙墓を含む土坑15基などを確認している。本報告書はオコッコ遺跡の報告としては第1冊目の報告書で、調査原因は厚真川改修工事に伴う発掘調査である。今回の調査範囲は260平方メートルで、平成27年度調査範囲の北東側の隣接地になる。今回の調査では、遺構は検出していない。遺物は、土器25点、石器等3,515点の合計3,540点が出土している。主な時期は縄文時代前期前半で、土器は静内中野式がほとんどで、石器は石鏃・石槍・石斧・つまみ付ナイフ・たたき石が出土している。
