Note (General): 西関内３遺跡はJR伊達紋別駅から北北東へ約7.8㎞の地点にある、大沢川の河岸段丘上に立地し、現況の標高は135～137mである。遺構は、土坑12基、Tピット22基、盛土１カ所が検出されている。土坑には、竪穴を伴う小形の建築物の可能性があるもの１基、墓の可能性があるものが４基ある。Tピットは溝の長いものと短いものとが認められる。盛土も含めて時期は中期後半～後期前葉である。遺物は、土器・石器・石製品が出土している。土器は中期後半～後期前葉のものが多い。天神山式、大安在B式土器などである。石器は剥片石器が皆無で全て礫石器である。たたき石、半円状扁平打製石器などが多い。早期頃と考えられる断面三角形のすり石１点も出土している。石製品は全体に研磨を施したものが１点出土している。
