Note (General): 安永城跡は都城市庄内町に位置しており、庄内川左岸のシラス台地縁辺に作られた中世城館跡である。牛舎の建設に伴って二之丸の一部を発掘調査した。なお、二之丸の発掘調査は今回が初めてである。　調査の結果、中世の掘立柱建物跡、土坑、ピット等が検出されたほか、当該期の遺物も出土した。当該地は昭和50年代の耕地整理により改変を受けているものの、二之丸に伴う遺構が残存していることが明らかとなった。
