Note (General): 本書掲載の遺跡からは、弥生時代から近世までの遺構や遺物を確認した。弥生時代では桑原遺跡6次調査や桑原東稲葉遺跡2次調査、樽味高木遺跡17次調査にて中期後半や後期後半の竪穴建物を検出した。古墳時代になると、桑原東稲葉遺跡1次・2次調査や樽味高木遺跡17次調査において中期や後期の竪穴建物や溝を検出した。検出した竪穴建物内からは土器のほかに臼玉や勾玉、石製紡錘車などが出土し、建物廃絶に伴う祭祀儀礼が執り行われたものと推測される。また、樽味高木遺跡17次調査検出の竪穴建物からは、松山平野内では出土例の極めて少ない初期須恵器が出土し、平野内への須恵器導入時期を解明するうえで貴重な資料を得ることができた。また、桑原東稲葉遺跡1次・2次調査からは、古代の建物址や溝を検出した。特に、2次調査では飛鳥時代前半と奈良時代の建物が各3棟確認されており、桑原地区における古代集落様相が知れる重要な成果といえる。
