Note (General): 本調査では、縄文時代から中世までの遺構や遺物を確認した。縄文時代の遺構は未検出であるが、2 次調査において早期押型文土器が出土した。弥生時代では1 次調査や3 次調査にて中期後葉と末の竪穴建物が検出され、該期における集落の存在が明らかになった。次に古墳時代では前期の資料はないが、中期後葉から後期にかけて、複数の竪穴建物が検出された。建物内からは柱穴やカマドが検出され、建物構造が知れる貴重な資料を得ることができた。また、建物の変遷から古墳時代中期から後期にかけて継続的な集落経営が進められたことがわかった。なお、古墳時代終末期には古墳（石室）が築造されており、古墳時代を通して、居住域から墓域へと土地の利用方法が変化する様子も明らかになった。古代から中世の遺構は未検出であるが、鎌倉時代に使用された完形の土器が包含層中から出土している。　今回の調査により、調査地や周辺地域には弥生時代から古墳時代にかけて、広範囲に遺跡の存在する可能性が極めて高いものと推測される。
