Note (General): 調査地は原遺跡包蔵地範囲の北東端にあたり、微高地の先端部分に近い。同一敷地南側では、過去に第20次調査が実施されており、その調査で検出されていた、弥生時代中期後半の掘立柱建物2棟の延長を確認することができた。建物の復元については検討の余地があり、また柱穴の全てが検出されたわけではなく、全体の規模は明確にはできなかった。古代に位置付けられるものとしては、調査区北側で検出したSD68があり、第10次調査で確認されている大溝SD6の延長であると推測した。この溝は古代官道の側溝であった可能性があるが、一部分のみの検出にとどまる。調査では多くの小穴を検出したが、これらはほとんどが中世前期の12世紀中頃～ 14世紀代に位置付けられるものと考えられる。建物の復元はできなかったが、周辺の調査事例をみると、区画溝と考えられるものが検出され、その内部に掘立柱建物が展開する様子が窺える。今回検出した小穴群もこれら中世の遺構群と関連するものである可能性は高い。今回の調査では、遺跡範囲の北東端部における弥生時代から中世にかけての集落の展開と当該期の様相をうかがえる成果が得られた。
