Note (General): 09-2区においては大和川線同様、平安時代の集落跡を検出した。最北部では、南面に庇がつく2間×3間の掘立柱建物など、掘立柱建物3棟やそれに付随する柱列、井戸、溝などからなる9世紀から10世紀にかけての居住域を検出した。また、近江系緑釉陶器皿をもつ大形土坑や、黒色土器椀で蓋をした、土師器甕を納置した遺構を検出した。その南の区域（09-3-1～3区）においては、弥生時代中期に遡る流路や石庖丁、打製石器等の石器類がみつかり、当地区での人間の活動がこの時期まで遡ることを示唆した。　上之池の南北堤部（09-3-7・15区）では現在の堤の下層に、近世期の堤が築造されていることが判明した。この下層には中世の坪境溝がみつかり、さらに1町離れた09-3-6区でも坪境溝が検出され、条里区割に基づいた土地区画が形成されていたことを証明した。　南部（09-3-4～6区、09-3-10～14区）では中世の耕作溝や人、牛の足跡などが広範囲にみられ、耕作地として利用されていたことが判明した。
