Note (General): 旧石器時代以降の遺物と、飛鳥時代から安土桃山時代までの各時代の遺構を検出した。なかでも、次の各時代の遺構・遺物が重要である。　飛鳥時代～奈良時代では、落ち込みや包含層から出土した火頭形三尊塼仏、小形独尊塼仏、鋳型が特筆される。須恵器をはじめ、土師器や瓦も出土した。　平安時代では、3基の火葬墓を調査した。3基とも土器は、口縁部が打ち欠かれ、逆位に据えられていた。いずれも9世紀から10世紀前半の所産で、尾張、播磨、美濃といった他地域産である点に注意を要する。　鎌倉時代は遺構の最も多い時期である。青磁碗2点、青磁皿3点、瓦器椀1点、鉄製短刀1振、鉄釘などの一括遺物を伴った墓や、床面に大石や炉のある竪穴などを検出した。さらに、溝や多くの石を使って構築された遺構も調査した。　安土桃山時代には、寺と推定される礎石建物がある。多量の瓦に加え、懸仏尊像部や線刻十一面観音鏡像などの青銅製品も出土した。阿弥陀如来の石仏列もみられた。　以上のように、各時代において宗教や埋葬に関連の深い遺構・遺物を調査した。
