Note (General): [若宮遺跡要約] 若宮遺跡の発掘調査は継続的に行われ、これまでに12000?以上に及ぶ。今回の調査の結果、15 19世紀にいたる町屋の遺跡が確認された。発見された主な遺構は溝･土坑･井戸などである。�　15 16世紀の遺構･遺物が少なく、遺構は屋敷を区画する溝･土坑などが発見された。遺物は羽釜や擂鉢の調理具と瓦･石製品がある。その他、中国製青磁･白磁･青花まどがある。�　16世紀末 17世紀初頭も遺構･遺物が少なく、茶道具と思われる天目茶碗が井戸からみつかった。その他、唐津焼･備前焼･瀬戸美濃焼などの国産陶器がある。�　17世紀前半から19世紀初頭頃までの遺構･遺物は大量に発見された。遺物は国産の磁器･陶器･瓦質土器･土師質土器である。国産陶器は伊万里焼･波佐見焼が多く、少量の瀬戸美濃焼がある。国産陶器は唐津焼･萩焼･備前焼･丹波焼･堺焼･京焼･信楽焼･大谷焼･瀬戸美濃焼などがある。遺構から建物配置や町屋の範囲は確認できなかったが数多くの井戸･ゴミ穴、瓦が発見された。以上より、近世の佐野町屋の繁栄がうかがえる。その後、調査地は幕末頃に水田化され、明治30年頃に鉄道が敷設、現在は南海本線泉佐野駅が設置されている。　��PDFあり。
