Note (General): [大場D遺跡要約] 市道田仲・鹿島越線道路改良事業により大場D遺跡2地点の発掘調査を実施した。検出された遺構として、竪穴住居跡、ピット群、土坑、埋設土器、遺物包含層がある。大小のピットは掘立柱建物跡を構成するものとみられ、縄文時代晩期に比定された。縄文時代早期末から前期にかかる遺物包含層には多量の土器とともに石器が伴った。第4号竪穴住居跡のカマドを主とした一括土師器は古墳時代後期後葉以降に属し、本丘陵地帯における古代集落の存在が裏づけられたとともに、その範囲もさらに広がることが想定された。
