Note (General): [薬師堂遺跡要約] 本遺跡は、阿武隈川東岸の中位段丘面に立地する、旧石器〜古墳時代の複合遺跡である。このうち、遺跡の主体を占めるのは古墳時代後期の集落跡で、調査を実施した３軒の竪穴住居跡のうち、２軒ではカマドに隣接して馬蹄形状の土盛りが確認されるなど、特徴的な構造を有している。旧石器時代・弥生時代は、遺物だけの検出にとどまったが、縄文時代は土坑・集石遺構・特殊遺構が確認された。土坑は、落し穴状土坑や貯蔵穴のほか、墓壙と考えられるものがあった。特殊遺構としたものは、石囲部に隣接して板状の石を立石状に設置した石囲炉跡である。　 [蓬入遺跡要約] 本遺跡は、初瀬川により形成された開析谷の谷頭部に立地する、平安時代を中心とした遺跡である。調査範囲が限られていたため、竪穴住居跡は１軒のみであったが、調査区外にも埋没していると考えられる。この他、近世以降とみられるピット50基と、時期不明の土坑７基を確認した。　 [栗木内塚要約] 本遺跡は、周辺を樹枝状に開析された独立丘陵の頂部に立地する、直径約６ｍ、高さ0.8ｍの円墳状の塚である。塚の頂部には５基の立石が確認され、このうち２基には梵字などが認められ、供養塔と判断される。このことから、本遺跡は、供養するための塚か墓の一形態と考えられる。
