Note (General): [八ヶ入遺跡要約] 5区の微高地で検出された旧石器遺跡。石器ブロックは1カ所。総数1,665点の石器・礫が出土。細石刃・細石刃核・細石刃核スポール・エンドスクレイパー・彫刻刀形石器・スポール・調整剥片を組成。湧別技法による削片系細石刃石器群で、多数の接合資料を確認。他に不定形剥片石器群、礫器・台石を組成。石器石材は硬質頁岩を主体とし、他に黒曜石、玉髄、チャート、黒色頁岩、黒色安山岩、ホルンフェルスを利用。黒曜石は原産地分析により箱根産、神津島産、信州産と判定。遺物包含層の直上に一次堆積層のAs-YPが堆積していたことにより、遺跡形成年代がAs-YP降下年代を遡ることが明確となった。。
