Note (General): [山王上遺跡要約] 今回の調査区は、多摩平団地の中央より北東域に所在する。調査は平成18年10月から平成20年3月まで行った。遺跡は日野台地の南縁に位置し、縄文時代から中世以降の遺構・遺物が検出されている。縄文時代は、遺構に早期前半、中期前半、中期後半が考えられる集石群や土坑および敷設礫遺構や早期前半、中期後半の遺物集中区が検出された。遺物は縄文時代早期前半から晩期までの土器が出土した。また、縄文時代晩期終末から弥生時代前期と考えられる条痕文土器を伴う土坑やピットが検出された。奈良・平安時代は、竪穴住居跡と掘立柱建物跡を中心とした集落址が検出された。また、中世以降と想定される溝が検出され、明治期の旧地引絵図からみて、字の境を区画する溝が含まれていた。各時代の土地利用を知る上で、貴重な遺構・遺物が得られた。。
