Note (General): [椿遺跡要約] 　椿遺跡は萩市椿に所在する、弥生時代から近世にかけての遺跡である。遺物包含層からは主として古代の須恵器が出土し、墨書が確認できるものもあることから、近辺に官衙等が所在した可能性も指摘できる。C地区では、土坑･柱穴の密集した区域から、土師器･陶磁器等、古墳時代から中世にかけての遺物が検出された｡/17世紀後半に造営された福昌寺の関連施設が置かれていたと考えられるD地区では、建物基礎と考えられる石列が検出され、近世瓦もまとまって出土した。経石は、文化5年(1808年）に埋納されたものと考えられ、試掘調査時に727個採集され、本調査では10点出土した。
