Note (General): [長瀬B遺跡（米沢遺跡群）要約] 遺跡は東北本線北福岡駅から北に約3.1kmに位置する。馬淵川によって形成された米沢段丘上に立地し、標高は105.2m前後である。調査の結果、縄文時代早期中葉の竪穴住居5棟、奈良・平安時代の竪穴住居32棟などが検出された。縄文早期に供伴する土器群は貝殻腹縁文を主文様とするものである。奈良・平安時代の竪穴住居は半数以上が焼失住居である。平安時代と推定される周溝は円形と馬蹄形をしている。近世の土壙墓からは11体の人骨が出土している。
