Note (General): [稲村遺跡（稲村2遺跡）要約] 遺跡は紫波町役場の北約3.25kmの位置にある。北上川右岸の低位段丘上に立地している。調査の結果、竪穴住居3棟などが検出された。出土した遺物から奈良時代の終わりから平安時代初期にかけての遺構と考えられる。　 [中田遺跡（中田2遺跡）要約] 遺跡は北が五内川、東が北上川の沖積地に面した都南段丘の段丘崖付近に立地している。稲村遺跡が五内川を挟んだ北側にある。調査の結果検出された遺構は、平安時代の竪穴住居7棟・ピット2基、時期不明の溝跡4条である。陥し穴状遺構は他の遺跡の例から縄文時代とした。遺物はほとんどが土師器と須恵器で全て平安時代のものである。　 [古屋敷遺跡要約] 遺跡は紫波町役場の北約2kmの位置にあり、北上川の沖積地に面した都南段丘の段丘崖付近に立地している。調査の結果、平安時代の竪穴住居8棟・ピット6基、時期不明の掘立柱建物跡1棟・方形周溝1基・溝跡5条が検出された。方形周溝は周辺の遺跡から類似の遺構が検出されており、平安時代もしくはそれ以降の年代が与えられている。
