Note (General): [朝田墳墓群５要約] 山口盆地南東部に張り出した丘陵上に位置し、弥生時代中期〜後期の箱式石棺墓･石蓋土坑墓･壺棺墓の3ﾀｲﾌﾟの墳墓遺構が確認された。とくに箱式石棺墓は、密集して検出され、また、各墓の長軸方向から大きく2ｸﾞﾙ-ﾌﾟに分類でき、それが造営時期あるいは埋葬集団を異にすることに起因する可能性が指摘された。副葬品として、箱式石棺墓1基から鉄斧1点が出土。弥生土器は、壺･甕･器台などがあり、出土状況から祭祀に用いられたと考えられるものが多量に含まれていた。須恵器は、坏身･坏蓋で、奈良時代〜平安時代のもの。近くに同時代の埋葬跡の存在を示唆している。
