Note (General): [富田細田遺跡要約] 赤城山南麓を流下する荒砥川右岸の沖積地上に位置する生産遺跡である。上記のよう平安時代の２面の水田が検出された。２面の水田はともに東西・南北に走る畦畔により区画されていた。平均面積は、洪水層下水田の方が広かった。 [富田宮下遺跡要約] 赤城山南麓の洪積台地とそれに接した沖積地上に展開した複合遺跡である。縄文時代の陥穴が検出されたことから沖積地を臨む台地縁辺が狩猟の場として利用されていたことが知れた。竪穴住居は弥生時代中期後半から弥生時代末、古墳時代前期・中期・後期とその形成が継続、奈良・平安時代には台地全体に集落が展開していた。ただし、各期ごとの住居件数を見ると時期ごとに大きな差があることがわかり、集落の変遷が一様でないことが判明した。
