Note (General): [神明久保遺跡要約] 調査地点は古代相模国府域の一角にあたり、周辺地域の既往の発掘調査でも当該期の遺構･遺物が密集して確認されている。今回の調査で9地点目を数える神明久保遺跡では、国府域の中でも金属製品や鉄滓が数多く出土していることから、金属生産に関わった工房・工人の居住施設であることが推察されてきたが、今回の調査においてもその可能性がさらに強まったといえる。出土した遺物の年代は8〜10世紀を中心としたものであった。また、相模国府移転後の土地利用景観としては、中世・近世にわたって耕作跡(畑地)が広がることが判明している。
