Note (General): [下津令遺跡（沖ノ下１地区）下津令遺跡（西尾崎１地区）要約] 　下津令遺跡沖ノ下１地区は丘陵の先端に立地する古墳時代および中世を主体とする集落跡である。古墳時代の遺構として、前期と中期の方形竪穴建物跡が３棟確認された。前期の建物跡の１つには屋外周溝が巡り、中期の建物跡からはカマドが検出された。本格的なカマドをもつ竪穴建物跡としては県内でも古い時期のものと考えられる。建物跡からは庄内式併行期の高杯や器台、布留式の甕などが出土し、防府市縁辺部の台道地区で古墳時代には人々が定住していたことが明らかとなった。また、中世の掘立柱建物跡も確認され、溝からは瓦質土器を中心とする中世後期の一括資料が出土した。　また、西尾崎１地区は丘陵縁辺部上に立地する古代から中世にかけての集落跡である。掘立柱建物跡が検出された他、土坑、溝などから須恵器や瓦質土器などが出土し、継続的に集落が営まれていたことが確認された。
