Note (General): [大川遺跡第３〜５次調査要約] 今回の調査では、弥生時代〜奈良時代、平安時代後期〜鎌倉時代前期、室町時代の遺構・遺物を検出した。弥生時代中期は、方形周溝墓が２基検出しただけで、竪穴建物は検出されなかった。弥生時代後期は、円形の竪穴建物を検出した。古墳時代前期〜後期は、平面方形を主とする竪穴建物を検出した。また、臼玉が多数出土しており、集落内での祭祀に用いられたものと推測される。集落のはずれでは、土師器甕、須恵器特殊扁壺や須恵器提瓶が出土した。飛鳥時代〜奈良時代では、掘立柱建物５棟、柵列を検出したが、計画的な配置や企画性は認められない。平安時代後期〜鎌倉時代前期では、調査地の全域で、掘立柱建物、井戸を検出した。集落が大きく拡大した時期である。特に集落のはずれでは、鍛冶炉が検出された。室町時代、石檀状の集石遺構・柵列を検出した。掘立柱建物を数棟検出したものの、まとまりはなく集落域から外れるとみられる。。
