Note (General): [富田新井遺跡（前橋市0244遺跡）要約] 富田新井遺跡（前橋市0244遺跡）は、赤城山南麓地域の標高約90ｍの地点に立地する。舌状台地の先端付近から約600ｍ北方向の台地側に入った場所にあり、台地の東端に立地する。まさに台地から低地への移行部分にあたる。9世紀代に帰属する竪穴住居群を確認するとともに、浅間B軽石降下前後に位置づけられる複数の溝を検出した。溝はいずれも流水の痕跡はなく、何らかの意図で土地を区画するものと考えられる。
