Note (General): 道路建設に伴う調査で、『土井の木遺跡』の南側に接する遺跡である。調査の結果、縄文時代後期の土器・石器が主に包含層中から出土した。石器は敲石や石皿を除くと、大半はサヌカイト製打製石器と剥片・チップが主体を占める。調査地あたりで石鏃・石錐・刃器などを製作していたことがうかがわれる。同様の資料は土井の木遺跡でも確認されている。　その後調査地では、10世紀から13世紀にかけての集落が形成され、掘立柱建物11棟をはじめ土坑・溝などが見つかった。　また調査地に隣接する積川神社本殿が、1957年に行った解体修理で出土した軒瓦・瓦器・土師器を資料化した。
