Note (General): [五本松No.3遺跡要約] 鎌ケ谷市五本松№３遺跡は、下総台地の北西に位置し、手賀沼西岸に注ぎこむ大津川の最上流部東岸の台地上に立地する。遺跡周辺の標高は26ｍ〜28ｍで、低地との比高は約10ｍである。旧石器時代から中近世に至る遺構や遺物が検出され、旧石器時代では５枚の文化層から、21か所の石器ブロック、７か所の礫群、土坑１か所を確認した。文化層は立川ローム層の9層下部、9層上部、7層、5層〜4層下部、4層上部に産出層位があり、9層上部の石器群が質・量ともに充実する。この9層上部では、高原山産黒曜石の原石から縦長剥片作出を追う工程が土坑状の石器集中部で確認される一方、ブロック群が調査区外へと広がる可能性が示唆された。また、4層上部(産出層準は3層下部)では東内野型尖頭器石器群が礫群とともに出土している。旧石器時代以外では、縄文時代の陥穴６基と土坑８基が検出され、阿玉台式土器や撥形の打製石斧が出土している。奈良・平安時代では竪穴住居跡１軒と竪穴建物跡1棟、土坑5基以上を検出し、中・近世では溝3条が確認された。
