Note (General): [文脇遺跡要約] 文脇遺跡は小櫃川やその支流の松川によって開析された谷部を臨む標高40ｍの台地上に立地する。旧石器時代の石器群はいずれも9層が出土層位である。縄文時代の遺構は陥穴1基のみである。遺物は少量で、石鏃2点のみ報告した。弥生時代は後期の集落が検出され、多くの土器が出土した。また木棺をもつとみられる土坑墓1基が検出され、棺内から小銅鐸と玉類が出土した。小銅鐸は棺内側壁中程から紐部分がやや下がった状態で出土した。小銅鐸が遺構に伴って出土することは稀であり、しかも墓であることから、弥生時代の墓制を考える上で重要な資料である。古墳時代は前期の方墳が1基検出された。規模は一辺15ｍで、周溝内から1基の土坑墓が見つかった。奈良･平安時代も集落が検出された。竪穴住居6軒のうち、2軒は長煙道のカマドをもつ。中世は溝で区画された内部に竪穴状遺構や土坑群がみられる。遺物は瀬戸産の陶器、常滑の鉢･擂鉢などが出土しているが、少量である。なお、本遺跡は1987〜89年度に君津郡市文化財センターが調査を行い、弥生時代後期〜古墳時代前期の集落を主体として、各時代の遺構･遺物が多く検出された
