Note (General): [泉北側第2遺跡要約] 泉北側第２遺跡は手賀沼に注ぐ亀成川によって開析された標高24ｍの台地上に立地する。旧石器時代は遺物集中地点が3か所検出され、第1地点は11層からナイフ形石器、第2地点は3･4層から礫群、4･5層から礫･ナイフ形石器･角錘状石器･掻器、第3地点は4･5層から二次加工ある剥片や礫が出土した。縄文時代は竪穴住居が9軒、土坑が20基、早期後半の炉穴が15基検出された。竪穴住居の時期は、前期前半が2軒、後期初頭から前半が2軒、晩期が1軒、時期不明が4軒である。遺構外の縄文土器は早･前･後･晩期の土器が出土した。中期は初頭の土器があるが、少ない。古墳時代は前期のまとまった集落が検出された。遺物は北陸系の土器や銅鏃が注目される。
