Note (General): [羽戸遺跡第1地点要約] 羽戸遺跡第1地点　縄文後期初頭の竪穴住居跡4軒、土坑6基を検出。ほぼ単一時期の小規模集落である。竪穴住居跡の炉の部分に大型石棒を立てて火をつけた石棒祭祀跡が注目される。黒曜石の剥片類が多量に出土しており、産地分析の結果、神津島恩馳産が主体であった。　 [羽戸遺跡第2地点要約] 羽戸遺跡第2地点　縄文中期中葉の竪穴住居跡18軒、小竪穴174基、土坑41基を検出、うち竪穴住居跡3軒、小竪穴3基に貝層を伴う。また、土器集中を伴う面状貝層1カ所を検出した。拠点集落の約半分を調査。前回の調査と合わせると、集落のほぼ全容を知ることができる。谷頭付近に竪穴住居跡群と小竪穴群が集中するものの広場や帯状の分布構造は認められない。黒曜石の剥片類が多量に出土しており、神津島産黒曜石が盛んに持ち込まれ、東京湾側の大型貝塚群にも供給された可能性がある。銚子産琥珀や九十九里海岸の軽石･軟砂岩･外洋産貝類の貝殻等も同様であり、流通拠点の性格を持っていた可能性が高い。奈良･平安時代は、大規模集落の東端部を調査し、瓦鉢･香炉蓋など仏教関連遺物が数点まとまって出土した。中世は、14世紀後半〜15世紀代中心の台地整形を伴う遺構群を調査した。
