Note (General): [楽ケ谷1遺跡要約] 楽ケ谷?遺跡は太平洋に注ぐ真亀川の支流に開析された標高60ｍの台地上に立地する。調査区内では縄文時代の陥穴１基と奈良・平安時代の集落が発見された。奈良・平安時代の竪穴住居は２軒で、1軒は８世紀後半のものである。もう１軒は出土遺物が少なく、詳細な時期が不明である。掘立柱建物は４棟で、これも詳細な時期は不明である。また奈良・平安時代に帰属すると思われるピット群が検出されている。そのほかに、千葉県教育委員会による工事立会分として、奈良・平安時代を主体とする８軒の竪穴住居が検出されている。調査区は楽ケ谷?遺跡が所在する台地全体の北方に位置する。工事立会分はその南方の範囲である。このことから楽ケ谷?遺跡は調査区周辺から南方の台地上に、奈良・平安時代を主体とする集落が広域に展開するといえる。
