Note (General): [辺田山谷遺跡要約] "辺田山谷遺跡は東京湾に注ぐ都川水系最奥部の標高48ｍの台地上に立地する。旧石器時代は3か所で石器が出土し、2か所は6層〜7層及び7層のブロックである。ともにナイフ形石器が出土した。もう1か所は5層から剥片が1点のみ出土した。縄文時代は、早期の条痕文系の炉穴や中期後半の加曽利Ｅ式期の集落が検出された。土器は早期から後期まで出土したが、早期前葉の撚糸文系土器が8割以上を占める。奈良・平安時代はまとまった数量の方形区画墓が検出され、台地全体が広範な墓域である。1基から火葬土坑が検出され、その上部から双脚足金物をもつ方頭大刀が出土した。8世紀前半の年代が考えられる。 " 。
