Note (General): [道庭遺跡要約] 道庭遺跡は九十九里平野に面した標高50ｍの台地上に立地する。今回の調査では旧石器時代･縄文時代の遺構･遺物はほとんどみられない。弥生時代は中期の方形周溝墓1基と環濠が検出された。周溝墓は四隅が切れるタイプである。環濠出土の櫛描波状文･平行線文は北関東から中部地方にみられるものである。後期には竪穴住居3軒が検出された。出土土器は北関東系と南関東系の双方がある。古墳時代前期も3軒の竪穴住居が検出された。中期は竪穴住居2軒と工房1棟が検出された。工房は滑石製模造品の製作跡で、鏡形･勾玉形･臼玉の未製品が多く出土した。製品の出土はない。後期も竪穴住居1軒が検出された。奈良･平安時代は竪穴住居1軒と土坑群が検出された。土坑群のなかには掘立柱建物があるかもしれないが不明瞭である。出土遺物は古代末期のものが目立つ
