弥生時代中期・終末期、平安時代末期の遺構と遺物を確認している。弥生時代中期については、南西側に展開する寺中A遺跡の集落に関係したものと考えられる。同終末期の建物跡や土坑などについては、既往の調査区も含めて集落の中枢を示すものと考えられる。平安時代末期については、東側に展開する畝田・寺中遺跡との関係が想定される。　弥生時代後期と奈良時代後半から平安時代前期の遺構と遺物を確認している。いづれも北側に広く展開している畝田B遺跡の広がりの中で考えることが可能であるが、調査区の北側には川もしくは鞍部が存在しており、既往の調査地点である北側集落とは別の性格を持った集落が展開している可能性も考えられる。　主に弥生時代後期と奈良時代後半から平安時代前期の遺構と遺物を確認している。弥生時代後期は土坑や大溝を確認しているが、集落の縁辺の状況を呈している。奈良・平安時代は8世紀後半から9世紀代の集落を確認しており、「田舎」や「田人」墨書土器といった居宅や農業労働力に関する遺物が注目される。　小河川跡SD01と溝2条およびピット群を検出した。SD01は南東から北西に流れ、右岸からは十数基のピットが検出されたが左岸は極端に遺構密度が薄くなり、地山自体もなだらかに落ち込み低地状になるため、SD01およびこれと平行に走る小溝SD02は集落と集落を画する境界的性格を持っていた可能性が想定される。　既刊の報告書では、運河と目される川（SD40）から出土した金属製品は銅製のみであったが、今回、鉄製品7点と銅製品1点を加える。　同じくSD40から出土した木製祭祀具に馬形1点を加える。
