- 出版タイプ： NA[和歌山城跡 要約] 和歌山城三の丸の武家屋敷地を調査した。下層はシルト質であるが、鎌倉時代から室町時代にかけて厚い砂層に覆われている。噴砂上面近くには土壙墓群と貝殻廃棄土坑群が確認された。近世の武家屋敷地は4区画分を調査した。屋敷の生活面は残されておらず、災害にあう度に整地しなおしている。遺構は整地土や削平面の下で検出し、地中に掘り込まれた水回り施設跡（井戸・溜枡・暗渠）と柱穴、土坑等を検出した。17世紀の遺物は整地土中からの出土が多く、18から19世紀の遺物は廃棄土坑からの出土が多い。19世紀の遺物には在地生産とみられる素焼や軟質施釉陶器類が多い。そのほか、近代の裁判所建物跡や防空壕跡も確認された。
