大山山塊の東南麓に広がる扇状地上に位置する遺跡である。付近には太田道灌の基もあり、上杉館址と推測されてきた。しかし、今回の調査では該当する居館址の存在を示唆するような遺構、遺物は検出されなかったものの、竪穴状遺構、掘立柱建物址、舶載磁器類の出土は中世の居住活動の一端を示す。8世紀後半～9世紀後半の竪...
